Case study

Planning for upgrade
When we first spoke to PiperCross Ltd, they were using the DOS version of Sage, which they had recently heard had been issued with an end of life statement.

Together with the operations manager, we put together a project plan to install the Windows version of Sage Line 50, convert their data and provide training for all eight users on their own areas of expertise.
Report writing
We also looked at a number of reports they had, and re-wrote them in conjunction using the new report writer in the Windows version.
No interruption to critical business operations
Training for all staff members was completed in a week prior to the upgrade so everyone was confident using the new software before conversion took place.
We took a copy of data and converted over a weekend ready for a smooth changeover on a Monday morning, and one of our Sage consultants was on-site to ensure everything went well and to quickly solve any problems. This resulted in no down time for a company used to taking many telephone orders.

12 months on, Sage is running smoothly and we have recently taken on the telephone support contract for the company.
